Daylighting
Objectives of the Assignment:

To identify passive design strategies for Daylighting.

To analyze the effect of comfort factors in a person and in a space relating to Lighting.

Identify architectural idea/concept, how the ambiance is created, sustainability features of this lighting system.

To be able to criticize the design of the space in terms of thermal comfort by referring to appropriate standards such as ASHRAE, MS1525, UBBL, and GBI.
Learning Outcomes of the Assignment:

Examine environmental factors in relation to natural or passive building design strategies used to achieve comfort level.
Reflection
In this project, I have learned about what is lighting, daylighting, and also artificial lighting. I have gained a lot of knowledge about lighting. I went on to various sites for references and search for info about daylighting. I have learned to manage myself, be self-reliant, reflect on one's actions, and learn from them. Through this project, I have learned a lot of skills and techniques in using some apps like Revit, architecture apps for us to build out our building. I learned to see the sun path and also the light contour by generating the sun and light analysis in Revit. As this is a group project and due to the pandemic, we were limited to a virtual meeting. Nevertheless, we were still able to communicate without obstacles and brainstorm ideas productively. I realize that I have strengthened my time management, as well as independent study. With the help of my groupmates, I was able to finish the work and project before the submission due date.
